I always swim in a rashie (nowadays, actually I wear a blue-and-orange hippie minidress instead) at my local public pool (Fusion), and many other people also wear rashies or similar, and also leggings. It is nowadays standard swimwear. Fortunately gone are the days of the bare-chest male expectations in public swimming pools :) :) :) :) At my local beach (Skegness, East Midlands) the norm is to wear clothes - I have only seen three people wearing conventional swimwear.
