Hm … I don’t know whether girls their age really do like hair on boys, or whether Robbie et al just mistakenly believe that they will. After all, girls can’t use the equivalent hair on their bodies as a positive sign of maturity. Chest hair may come next for the boys, and that gets really complicated. Even pubic hair on boys/men is of debatable acceptability nowadays.

(This whole mess is one reason for my aversion to normal swimwear for men and thus normal pools. The whole idea of a summer of outdoor fun in the water has disintegrated for several reasons.)

I suppose the only area where Robbie is in luck, is having no interest in wet girls. That will save him so much sadness. Since he’s got a steady girlfriend, he’s done better in his few years than I’ve done in over 40.
